Lauren Rocha joined the UNC staff in the fall of 2019. She is the staff athletic trainer for the wrestling team.
Rocha earned a B.S. in athletic training from Springfield College in the spring of 2017. While at Springfield, she was a member of the volleyball team.
She then attended the University of North Carolina and received her M.A. in exercise and sport science with a concentration in athletic training. During her time at UNC, Rocha worked with the men’s soccer and men’s tennis programs.
Rocha has been a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer since 2017. Her interests include functional dry needling, dermatology, cupping therapy and pathologies of the knee and shoulder.
She is a Connecticut native who currently lives in Apex with her husband, Matthew.
