Connecticut Lacrosse Hall of Fame Adds Tar Heel Boyd Harden

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Former Tar Heel defenseman, Boyd Harden, will join his brother, Graham Harden, in the U.S. Lacrosse Connecticut Hall of Fame for his own athletic accomplishments in lacrosse. Read his bio below.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Vazzano's Four Seasons in Stratford, Conn. Tickets are priced at $60 for adults and $20 for children 10 and under. The address of the induction site is 337 Kenyon Street, Stratford, Conn.

Inductees include JB Clarke, Boyd Harden, Kenny McCarthy, Rachel Sanford, Tom Zaccagnino, John Zinser and the Conard Class of 1967.
Congratulations Boyd Elder Harden
At New Canaan High School, Boyd Harden earned nine varsity letters in ice hockey, lacrosse, and football and played in four state championships during his last two years.
Boyd went on to attend the University of North Carolina where he eventually worked his way into a starting position. Over the course of his Carolina career, Boyd was a member of two ACC championship teams in 1984 and 1988 as well as the 1986 national championship team.
Boyd Harden received All-ACC honors in both 1985 and 1988 and was named to the third-team All-America squad in 1985. He was also awarded the Holmes Harden, Sr. Memorial Award for the most ground balls on the UNC lacrosse team in the 1985 season. In 1988, Boyd became the first NCAA Division I men's first-team All-America lacrosse player from New Canaan, Conn., here he grew up and attended high school.
Boyd and his wife, Keri, now live in New Canaan with their three children, McKenna, Kaleigh, and Chase.
