Tar Heel Women Enter USTFCCCA Rankings

Men's Regional Rankings | Women's Regional Rankings Chapel, Hill, N.C. - The North Carolina women's cross country team entered the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Cross Country Rankings for the first time this season after its impressive fourth place finish at last weekend's Atlantic Coast Conference Championships. Brie Felnagle and Megan Kaltenbach led the Tar Heels as the duo both earned All-ACC honors as Felnagle finished third and Kaltenbach took home 10th. Carolina will look to advance to the NCAA Championships on Saturday, Nov. 10 when it races in the southeast regional to be held in Louisville, Ky. The Tar Heels check in this week at No. 26 in the 30-team poll for the first time this season after being one of the final five teams left out of the poll the last few weeks. In the regional rankings, Carolina ranks No. 2 behind only NC State in the most recent USTFCCCA Regional Poll. The Tar Heels can improve upon that ranking by beating NC State at the regional on Nov. 10.
The Tar Heel men dropped out of the regional ranking this week after being ranked 15th in the previous weeks.
