The University of North Carolina women's golf program trains at a state-of-the-art Chapman Golf Center located at the prestigious UNC Finley Golf Course less than a mile away from the main campus.
The Chapman Golf Center opened in November 2001 and underwent further renovations in the summer of 2010. The 4,500-square-foot facility houses offices for the men’s and women’s golf coaches, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a team meeting room and reception area. There is also a climate-controlled individual teaching area that includes two hitting bays, practice putting area, and a state-of-the-art teaching system with the V-1 Golf, Flightscope and Sams Puttlab. At the far end of the range adjacent to the team facility is the Williamson Golf Team Practice Facility, used exclusively by the men’s and women’s golf teams.
In addition to a practice range, there are chipping greens and bunkers so the teams can hone their short game. The facility also features two bent putting greens and one Bermuda green for the teams to refine their putting stroke. All of these superb facilities are located less than five minutes from Carolina’s campus.
