Joined the team as a walk-on punter prior to the 2015 season.

At Carolina:
Punted six times for 225 yards, an average of 37.5 yards per punt • Two of his six punts were downed inside the 20-yard line • Punted once for 15 yards against Virginia • Punted three times for 150 yards, including a long of 56, in a win over Wake Forest • Made his collegiate debut with two punts for 60 yards at Georgia Tech, Carolina's first win in Atlanta since 1997.

Western Alamance High School:
Standout football and basketball player • Started at tight end, defensive tackle and punter during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons • Earned first team all-conference, as well as all-area and all-region honors as tight end and two-time second-team all-region as punter • Tom Lemming Top Prospect Watch List 2014 • NC Prep college prospect list starting in 2013 • Ranked the No. 1 punter in North Carolina and No. 22 in the nation by Chris Sailer and No. 3 punter by Ray Guy for the 2015 Class • Multiple MaxPreps Offensive Player of the game awards and Hit of the Game award • Had 32 receptions for for a 10.1 average as a senior in 2014 • Also punted 23 times for a 38.0 yard average, including a long of 63 • As a junior, punted 36 times for a 40.0-yard average, including a long of 65 • Also had 17 receptions • Posted 44 tackles and had 11 sacks • Starting Varsity basketball all four years • All-Conference in basketball in 2013, 2014 and 2015 • Member of the National Honor Society, the D.R.E.A.M team (Daring to Role-model Excellence as Athletic Mentors), Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Latin Club • Four-time scholar-athlete award and academic all-conference • 2015 Male Athlete of the Year.
