Price Continues Run At All-Americans

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. --- Caroline Price continued her impressive run at the 2012 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 over Georgia State's Abigail Tere-Apisah Thursday in the opening round of the singles main draw at the Riviera Tennis Club. Price will face Stanford's Krista Hardebeck Friday for a spot in the quarterfinals.

Lauren McHale and Whitney Kay lost their respective opening round matches and will move into the main draw consolation bracket. McHale fell to fifth-seeded Sabrina Santamaria of USC, 6-1, 6-1, while Kay was topped by Kansas State's Petra Niedermayerova, 7-6 (8), 6-4. 

McHale will take on Rice's Natalie Beazant in the opening round of the consolation draw Friday, while Kay will play Baylor's Ema Burgic.
