North Carolina freshman Gillian Litynski took 18th in women's sabre and senior Kevin Nadeau was 21st in men's foil at the NCAA Fencing Championships last weekend in Columbus, Ohio. Their finishes put UNC 19th overall in the championship field.
Litynski earned eight points for the Tar Heels with her finish, and Nadeau earned six. Host Ohio State won the championship with a total of 182 points, scoring in all six weapons. Princeton was second with 161 and Notre Dame third with 160.
