Graduated from high school a year in 2012 early to join the Tar Heel team • was rewarded for that effort with the opportunity to play for a national championship team in her first season • current member of the U.S. U20 National Team • played for the U.S. in the 2012 U17 World Cup in Azerbaijan September 22-October 13, 2012.

Freshman Season (2012)

Had a spectacular freshman season • was second on the team in points with 22, tied for second in goals with seven and second in assists with eight • started all 17 games she played in, missing six contests because of U17 National Team commitments • named to first-team Soccer America All-Freshman Team and first-team Top Drawer Soccer Freshman Team of the Season • chosen for ACC All-Freshman Team • on September 11, she was named ACC Player of the Week, Soccer America Player of the Week, Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week and UNC Progress Energy Student-Athlete of the Week after scoring four goals in the Duke Nike Classic • tapped for TDS and Soccer America Teams of the Week after winning overall MVP honorees at the Duke Nike Classic • was named to All-Tournament Teams at both Notre Dame adidas Invitational and the Duke Nike Classic • was tapped as the offensive MVP of the Notre Dame tournament • had the game-winning goal and assisted on the insurance goal in a 2-0 win over UConn • assisted on Maria Lubrano's game-winning goal in the 1-0 win over Notre Dame • scored two goals each against Marquette and San Diego • also scored goals against Wake Forest and NC State • had the game-winner for USD • notched two assists in NCAA win over Illinois • also recorded assists versus Clemson, Duke, Radford and Penn State.

National Team

Current member of the U.S. U20 National Team which she was elevated to following Carolina's 2012 NCAA championship campaign • played for the U17 nationals in 2012 • broke the CONCACAF U17 Women's Soccer Championship record when she scored 12 goals in the five-game qualifying tournament in Guatemala City in May 2012 • had three hat tricks during the tournament • assisted on the game-winning goal in the 1-0 championship game victory over Canada • had three goals and an assist in a 7-0 semifinal win over Panama • scored all three goals by the U.S. in a group play win over Mexico • had a goal and two assists against Trinidad and Tobago and opened the tournament with five goals in a 10-0 win over the Bahamas.

ODP & Club Soccer

Played forward and midfield for the Michigan Hawks • led club team to regional championship • member of state and regional ODP teams • trained in national camps since the U13 level  • played on team which won Nordic Cup in Denmark • went to London with ECNL Team.

Summer Lynn Green is the daughter of Judd and Debbie Green • was born May 2, 1995 in Bloomington, Ill. • her father was an ice hockey player at Ferris State University • enjoys horseback riding in her spare time • undeclared major.
