General

Three-year returning letter winner who started 23 games in the flat back three defense in 2010 at the right back position and another 20 games on defense in 2011 • after Rachel Givan was injured in the opening game of the 2010 season against Texas A&M, Brigman came on for the valuable senior and stayed in the back line the remainder of that campaign • the UNC coaches consider her one of the most improved players on the team over the course of her career • possesses tremendous speed and is dangerous on set pieces • five of her six career goals have come in those scenarios • a Rising Star in the Carolina Leadership Academy Program.

Junior Season (2011)

Led UNC in minutes played for the second successive year • started all 20 games on defense and played 1,834 minutes • finished with five goals and one assist for 11 points • her five goals were the second highest total on the team • she was sixth on the squad in total points • there were only four games in which she did not play the entire way • had a goal and an assist versus Houston • scored four of her five goals on set pieces • had the game-winning goal late in the first half of an eventual 5-1 win over NC State • also had goals against Texas A&M, Miami and Baylor • scored on 45.5 percent of her shots over the course of the season.

Sophomore Season (2010)

Played in all 24 games for the Tar Heels and started the last 23 games of the campaign • named to Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week on September 20, 2010 after a pair of UNC wins in the Duke Nike Classic • led UNC in minutes played with 2,125 • went the entire way in 18 of 24 contests • scored the first goal of her career in UNC's 7-2 win over Tennessee on September 4 off a corner kick • assisted on a goal against Middle Tennessee.

Freshman Season (2009)

Played in three games as a freshman, seeing 36 minutes of action in the defense against Wake Forest, NC State and Clemson • logged a season-high 20 minutes versus the Wolfpack.

ODP, National Teams & Club Soccer

Played with the Charlotte Soccer Club in 2007 and 2008 • competed with Sandhill Soccer Club in 2006 and with the Scotland Claymores from 1996-2005 • her first club team coach was Lisa Duffy Blalock, a former UNC player, Class of 1987 • served as team captain for the CSC and the Claymores • member of North Carolina ODP Team.

Prep

Graduated from Scotland High School on June 12, 2009 • was the school's female athlete of the year in 2008-09 • four-time soccer letter winner • holds the school record for goals scored with an astounding total of 171 • an all-conference and all-region performer four straight years • named All-State in 2008 • was the conference's co-player the year as a junior • was her team's two-time offensive player of the year and two-time MVP as well as serving as team captain • a three-sport athlete • played two years of tennis and made the all-conference tennis team her freshman and sophomore years • was a guard on the basketball team for four years • was an all-conference basketball choice three times and earned her high school squad's MVP award three times • earned the conference player of the year accolade as a senior • a four-time team captain.
