Release: 02/11/2013

SORRENTO, FLA. - The University of North Carolina women's golf team grabbed the second-round lead of the UCF Challenge after firing a blistering 10-under-par 278 on Monday.  Four Tar Heels scored par or better scores in Monday's second round and the Tar Heels sit atop the leaderboard with an 11-under 565 total.

"The team did a great job today with all of them not worrying about the final outcome and just staying in the process," says Tar Heel head coach Jan Mann.  "I know that sounds like a broken record, but it's what we work on day-in and day-out.  It's not the easiest thing to do in golf, but when they do it, they get great results.  We're looking forward to tomorrow and doing the same thing."
