IRVING, TEX. - Casey Grice, a junior on North Carolina's women's golf team, was one of two collegiate players to qualify for the North Texas LPGA Shootout. Grice and Madison Pressel, a senior at Texas, were co-medalists at the qualifier Tuesday. They both fired an even par 71 at Las Colinas Country Club and claimed the two spots reserved for college players. The North Texas LPGA Shootout will be played April 25-28 at the same course.
Grice, a native of College Station, Texas, played high school golf at A&M Consolidated and said she is "definitely very excited" for the opportunity to make her LPGA debut in her home state. Grice has carded four top-10 finishes this year for the Tar Heels and has finished in the top-15 in all of Carolina's six tournaments so far. She has led the Tar Heels to three team titles as well.
