FRESHMAN SEASON 2013-14
Strong, athletic post player that has the ability to dominate the paint area at both ends of the floor • Appeared in all 37 games and made 34 starts • Named a Full Court Freshman All-America honorable mention • Averaged 10.7 points and a team-leading 8.2 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game • Selected ACC Rookie of the Week on Nov. 25 after averaging 17.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in two victories • Shot a perfect 10-for-10 to post a 20-point, 13-rebound and five-block performance against Coastal Carolina on Nov. 21 • Ranked second in the ACC and 26th nationally in blocks • Recorded 12 double-doubles on the year, the fifth most in the ACC • Also ranked fifth in rebounding and ninth in field goal percentage (52.3%) • Her 90 blocks was the fifth most in a single season at UNC, while her 304 rebounds was the ninth most in school history • Both figures are freshman school records • Had 21 double-figure scoring games, 14 double-digit rebound totals and led the team in rebounding 19 times • Scored a season-high 24 points and had 12 rebounds against Illinois on Nov. 30 in Cancun • Had 20 points and 12 boards in the win over #10 South Carolina on Dec. 18 in Myrtle Beach • Put together 12 points and 11 rebounds in the win over #7 Duke on March 2 • Had 13 points and nine boards in the win over No. 1 seed South Carolina in the NCAA Tournament on March 30.
