Freshman Season: Appeared in 27 games and started one • A crucial designated player, pinch runner and reserve third baseman • Hit her first career home run at Boston College with a two-run homer to clench a 12-2 UNC victory May 5 • Registered a .375 batting average • Scored 11 runs and produced four RBIs • Stole two bases on three attempts as a runner.

Prep: Was named all-region three times • High school team claimed the North Carolina 4A state championship in 2009 and 2011 • Voted all-state 2009, 2010 and 2011 • Lettered four years in softball, playing third and second base.

 

Personal: Majoring in psychology • Participates in the Richard A. Baddour Carolina Leadership Academy as part of the Rising Stars program • Credits her grandfather, Steve Menis, as having had the greatest impact on her athletic career • The daughter of Diane and James Hamby • Born Stephanie Brooke Krider on Aug. 17 in Statesville, N.C.
