Claire Wardius, a junior on the UNC rowing team, has been honored as a CRCA Scholar-Athlete by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.

The honor requires a 3.5 cumulative grade point average as well as outstanding athletic performance.

Wardius, from Pittsburgh, Pa., is one of 25 Atlantic Coast Conference rowers honored. An English major with a minor in Russian cultures, she has been a member of UNC's varsity rowing squad for the past two seasons.
