CHAPEL HILL – Chrishawn Williams, head coach Harlis Meaders and assistant coach Steve Rubin talk with GoHeelsTV on earning her first All-America nod in the long jump at the 2013 NCAA Indoor National Championships earlier this month.
Williams went into the competition ranked 15th in the country and came home with an All-America trophy for her eighth-place finish in the final. It was her first time qualifying for the indoor championship meet.
Williams also earned All-ACC honors for her second-place finish in the long jump at the ACC Indoor Championships in February. She set a new personal record of 20-8 1/2 (6.31 meters) at the Armory Collegiate Invitational this season.
