CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina track and field teams head to Blacksburg, Va., to compete at the Hokie Invitational on January 25-26th. This is the second meet of the indoor season for the Tar Heels and the first away from home.
The Tar Heels are coming off promising performances from last weekend's Dick Taylor Invitational, including 17 first-place or top-collegiate finishes in the first outing of the 2013 indoor season.
Cameron Overstreet's personal record height of 13-5 ¼ in the women's pole vault and Chrishawn Williams' long jump of 20-1 ½ are ranked among the top 25 in the nation for their respective disciplines after the first meet.
The teams competing in the Hokie Invitational are: Charlotte, Concord, James Madison, NC State, Norfolk State, North Carolina, South Carolina, UCF, UNC-Greensboro, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
The meet is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday. Live results are also available here.
