Overstreet joins the Carolina coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach heading into the 2015-16 track and field season. Overstreet graduated from UNC in 2015 while competing at the highest level in track and field in the pole vault. Overstreet is an All-American pole vaulter and is the school record holder in the indoor pole vault. Overstreet was exceptional in competition, but also in the classroom as a constant on the All-ACC Academic teams and the ACC honor roll. Overstreet will help Coach Langley with the pole vault unit.

2014-15: Broke the school record in the indoor pole vault clearing 13-11 (4.24 meters) in her final home indoor meet of her career • Earned All-ACC honors for finishing second in the indoor pole vault at the conference championship • Took eighth in the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships • Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary and finished 17th • Named to the All-ACC Academic Indoor team, ACC Honor Roll and USTFCCCA All-Academic team • Named to the Capital One Academic All-District team • Recipient of the ACC Weaver-James-Corrigan scholarship for postgraduates

2013-14: Set a new personal record in the outdoor pole vault at the ACC Championships where she cleared 13-8 ½ (4.18 meters) and finished fourth overall • Competed at the NCAA East Preliminary Round where she finished 22nd overall • Finished fourth in the vault at the ACC Indoor Championships when she cleared 13-7 ¼ (4.15 meters) • Now ranks second all-time in UNC history in the outdoor pole vault • Named to the All-ACC Academic Indoor and Outdoor teams as well as the USTFCCCA All-Academic team • Named to the ACC Honor Roll.

2012-13: Second-Team All-America at the NCAA National Championships where she placed 16th with an outdoor PR of 13-7 ¼ (4.15 meters) • Qualified for the NCAA National Championships in a jump-off at the NCAA East Preliminary • Earned two All-ACC honors for her second-place finishes in the pole vault at the ACC Indoor and the ACC Outdoor Championships • Ranked in the top 30 nationally for the entirety of the outdoor season • Placed second at the elite Penn Relays Championship of America division • Set an outdoor PR of 13-5 ¼ (4.10 meters) to rank second all-time in the UNC record books • Ranked as high as 18th in the national rankings during the indoor season • Broke the second-best UNC school record in the pole vault on two occasions, once clearing 13-5 ¼ (4.10 meters) at the season-opener Dick Taylor Invitational and again at the ACC Championships with 13-8 ¼ (4.17 meters) • Competed at other top national meets including the Armory Collegiate Invitational, where she won the college division for the pole vault • Named All-ACC Academic Indoor and to the Dean's List for both semesters • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll for the second time in her career • Earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.

2011-12: All-ACC Academic honoree • Won the Dick Taylor Invitational with a PR 13-1 ½ vault during the indoor season • Vaulted 12-9 ½ at the ACC Outdoor Championships.

Prep: Also did gymnastics for three years in high school • Indoor and outdoor state champion • Indoor All- America honors for third-place finish • Track team captain • Holds the indoor state meet record • 2011 Penn Relays (HS) pole vault champion • 2008 Youth National pole vault champion • High school coach Kyle Bishop also coached UNC record-holder Kevin Brown • National Honor Society member.
