SOPHOMORE SEASON (2014-2015): Went 30-12 in singles, playing mostly in the No.4 spot • Recorded a 24-8 doubles record • 11 singles wins in the fall tied Brayden Schnur for the team high • Made an impressive run through the ITA All-American Championships pre-qualifying and qualifying singles draws, totaling six wins en route to the tournament's main field • Defeated two, ranked singles opponents: No. 113 Nick Naumann of Texas at the Napa Valley Invite and No. 118 Beck Pennington of Kentucky at the ITA qualifying • Advanced to the singles Round of 16 at the ITA Carolinas Regional • Paired with Ronnie Schneider to register five doubles wins across three events.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2013-2014): Came in and contributed right away in singles and doubles lineup for the Tar Heels • Did not play in the fall of 2013 but became one of the key players on the team in the spring semester • Finished with an overall 19-7 singles record and a 24-4 doubles mark • Went 9-1 at No. 4 singles spot and 7-4 at No. 5 • Was solid against ACC opponents, tallying an 8-4 singles record • Teamed with doubles partner Ronnie Schneider to compile the best conference record of any No. 3 doubles team in the ACC with a 10-1 mark against league opponents • One of four freshman to provide a key singles point in UNC's victory over No. 19 Illinois in February • Teamed with Schneider in the same match to defeat Illinois' 31st-ranked doubles team with a score of 6-2 • Clinched matches against No. 9 Notre dame, Florida State, and No. 47 Miami with singles wins • Tallied doubles wins with Schneider in those same three matches • Paired with Schneider to rally from 7-3 down for a crucial doubles win in the second round of the NCAA Tournament • Duo went 4-0 in the NCAA Tournament, earning a spot on the All-NCAA Tournament team • Played all but one doubles match as a freshman with fellow Midwesterner Schneider, going 23-4 as a pair • 4-2 record in three-set singles matches.
