General:  Had a spectacular freshman year and an even better fall semester of his sophomore year ... full name is Brett David Clark...majors in business administration...was born in April 1994 in Naples, Fla. ...the son of John and Stacy Clark...heads into spring 2014 season ranked 36th in singles by the ITA and rated 29th in doubles with partner Esben Hess-Olesen.

Fall 2013:  Had a spectacular fall campaign...was 16-5 in singles action and went 9-3 in the fall in doubles, splitting time between playing with Esben Hess-Olesen (5-1) and with Ronnie Schneider (4-2)...in singles action was 4-3 in three-set matches and 6-3 versus nationally-ranked players...his biggest fall win was over #14 Tsvetan Mihov of South Carolina in the ITA Carolinas Regional...reached the second round of singles at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Championships at Flushing Meadow in November 2013...earned an at-large invitation to the tournament after finishing as the singles runner-up in the ITA Carolinas Regional...was also a quarterfinalist in doubles at the 2013 ITA Carolinas Regional with Ronnie Schneider...won the flight A2 singles championship of the Wake Forest University Invitational, beating UNC teammate Nelson Vick in the title match...captured the WFU Invite doubles crown at the top flight, teaming with Esben Hess-Olesen...posted a 3-0 record in singles at the ITA All-American Championships pre-qualifying tournament.

Freshman Season (2012-13) Recap:  Posted a 20-12 overall singles record as a freshman...was 14-8 in dual matches, going 8-5 at #2 and 6-3 at #3...faced nine nationally-ranked players during the course of his freshman year...was 5-5 in ACC dual matches...went 21-10 overall in doubles play...combined with Esben Hess-Olesen to go 7-1 in doubles in dual matches, including a 6-0 mark in ACC matches...combined to go 12-5 in doubles with William Parker, including a 7-1 mark in dual matches...named to the 2013 All-ACC Academic Men's Tennis Team...posted key singles wins against Miami in the ACC Tournament first round, #24 Tulsa, #25 Wake Forest and Georgia Tech...had key doubles victories against Miami in the ACC Championship as well as in victories over Wake Forest, Miami (regular season) and Georgia Tech...advanced to the fourth round of singles at the ITA Carolinas Regional in the fall portion of the season...qualified for membership on the 2012-13 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
