HONOLULU—North Carolina (4-0) had five double-figure scorers and shot well in the second half to pull away and win, 83-68, at Hawai'i (2-2) on Friday night at the Sheriff Center.

Isaiah Hicks led the way with 16 points on 7 of 8 shooting. Nate Britt hit 3 of 5 three-pointers and scored 13.  Kennedy Meeks also scored 13 while grabbing seven rebounds.  Tony Bradley had his first career double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Justin Jackson scored 11.

The Tar Heels shot 63.3 percent (19 for 30) in the second half after struggling in the first half from the floor. Carolina dominated the backboards, holding a 46-23 rebounding edge, a 19-7 advantage in offensive boards and a 28-12 edge in second-chance points.

Head coach Roy Williams wasn't pleased with the team's 16 turnovers, however.

Guard Joel Berry II struggled, shooting 1 for 9 (0 for 5 on three-pointers) and finishing with a season-low two points.

Carolina hit six of 10 three-point attempts in the second half after going 2 for 11 from long range in the opening half.
