SOPHOMORE SEASON (2012-13)

Started 18 of the first 23 games then came off the bench primarily for defensive purposes in the last 13 games • Played well down the stretch despite the limited minutes • Made 19 of 35 shots from the floor (.543) • Led the team in blocked shots with 30 • Carolina's top defender against Mississippi State, ECU, Virginia, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Boston College and Clemson • Second on the team with seven defensive player of the game honors.

Regular Season Highlights: Had two blocks in 12 minutes at Maryland • Was his longest stint in seven games because of foul trouble by James Michael McAdoo and Hubert's active post defense • Blocked two shots in four minutes in win over NC State • Had a steal and two deflections in a short stint in win over Virginia • Blocked a career-high five shots and had six rebounds (personal best in any ACC game) in a career-high 22 minutes in the 79-63 win over Georgia Tech • Had two blocks and two steals in win over Maryland, helping limit the Terps to just 52 points • Had four points in the win at Florida State, tying his career ACC scoring high • Played his best game as a Tar Heel in win over #20 UNLV as he had three points, three rebounds and a career-high three blocks in 20 minutes, his longest stint as a Tar Heel • Helped set an early tone for Carolina by blocking two shots in the opening minute • Scored six points against Mississippi State.

 

 

FRESHMAN SEASON (2011-12)
Played in 25 games as a freshman in 2011-12 • Rebounded and defended well • Scored 17 points, grabbed 37 rebounds and blocked seven shots • Scored a season-high four points against Clemson • Grabbed eight rebounds against Evansville.

 

PREP
Played for Coach Jay Corby at New Egypt High School in New Jersey • Averaged 16 points, nine rebounds and six blocks per game • Led New Egypt a school-record 24 wins and a berth in the Central Jersey Group 1 Section championship game • Team captain • Played in the Capital Classic all-star game • Moved to Cream Ridge, N. J. from Winter Park, Fla. in 2006 • Averaged 16.2 points, 10.8 rebounds and 9.1 blocks as a junior • Totaled over 1,500 points, 1,000 rebounds and 750 blocks in his career.
