Tuscaloosa, Ala. - North Carolina dropped its last regular season meet to Alabama 194.075-197.625. The Heels were led by senior Morgan Evans, who finished third in the individual all-around race at 39.275.
UNC competed first on uneven bars, scoring a 48.600. Evans led the Heels with a 9.825, and took fourth place overall. Fellow senior Zoya Johnson finished with a 9.750, and junior Elizabeth Durkac was next at 9.675. Sophomore Acacia Cosentino earned a 9.700, while junior Michelle Ikoma and sophomore Emily Cornwell tied at 9.650.
Next on vault, Carolina combined for a 48.900. Again, Evans led the Heels at 9.900, tying for third place overall. Johnson came in sixth at 9.875, and senior Taylor Brown finished at 9.750. Durkac and Ikoma rounded out the event with scores of 9.725 and 9.650, respectively.
On the floor exercise, the Heels totaled a 48.025, and Evans took fourth overall with a 9.850. Freshman Haley Watts was next for UNC at 9.775, and Durkac was close behind with a 9.750. Cosentino earned a 9.675, and sophomore Meredith Magjuka rounded out the event with an 8.975.
UNC ended the day on the balance beam, finishing with a 48.550. Durkac fifth individually at 9.875. Junior Maura Massatsugu was right behind at 9.850, coming in sixth. Evans was next for the Heels at 9.700 and freshman Janell Sargent earned a 9.625. Senior Krista Jasper rounded out the day for the Heels at a 9.500.
Evans took third place all-around individually at 39.275. Durkac followed in fourth place with a 39.025.
