2013 - Senior Season
Finished with a career-best 10 solo tackles and a pass breakup against Miami • Finished with seven tackles (five solo) and a tackle for loss at Virginia Tech • Had seven solo stops against East Carolina • Tallied five tackles (four solo) and shared a tackle for loss at Georgia Tech • Had one solo stop and broke up a pass in the win over Middle Tennessee • Posted four tackles, including a 1-yard tackle for loss, in the season opener at No. 6 South Carolina.
2012 – Junior Season
Started 11 games at cornerback • Finished third on the team with 76 tackles tied for the team lead with nine pass breakups • Also tallied four tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble and an interception • Registered at least four tackles in every game • Had five stops and a pass breakup in the win at Virginia before missing the season finale due to injury • Finished with eight tackles, including five solo efforts, against Georgia Tech • Notched a career-high 11 tackles at Duke • Playing in his home state of Florida, had six tackles in the win at Miami • Had nine stops, two breakups and a quarterback hurry in the win over Virginia Tech • Finished the Idaho game with four tackles and breakup • Picked up his first career sack to go with eight tackles and a breakup in the win over East Carolina • Earned ACC Defensive Back of the Week honors for his efforts against the Pirates • Had six tackles and a breakup at Louisville • Finished with seven tackles and a tackle for loss at Wake Forest • Had six stops, five of the solo variety, a tackle for loss, two breakups and his second career interception in the season opener against Elon.
2011 – Sophomore Season
Missed the first four games of the season after tearing a tendon in his right hand during preseason practice, which required surgery • Made his season debut against ECU and started against Louisville and Miami • Finished the regular season with 16 tackles, including 10 solo stops • Broke up two passes and had a tackle for loss • Had one tackle vs. Missouri in the Independence Bowl • Posted one tackle vs. Duke • Did not start, but had two tackles in a 59-38 loss to Clemson • Broke up a pass and had three tackles in a 30-24 loss to Miami • Made his first start of the season in a 14-7 win over Louisville • Had four tackles, including a tackle for loss, against the Cardinals • Played, but did not start, in the 35-20 victory at East Carolina • Posted five tackles and broke up a pass against the Pirates.
2010 – Freshman Season
Played in all 13 games and started the final four as a true freshman cornerback • Started against Virginia Tech, NC State, Duke and Tennessee • Also saw significant action on special teams • Finished the regular season with 20 tackles, including 15 primary stops, four pass breakups and one interception • Had one tackle in the 24-19 win at Duke • Posted a season-high five tackles and broke up a pass vs. NC State • Had two tackles and two pass breakups in his first career start vs. Virginia Tech • Posted three tackles vs. ECU and had two at Miami • Had one tackle in games against LSU, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, Virginia, William & Mary and Florida State.
Blanche Ely High School
Named an All-American Scholar by the United States Achievement Academy • Played in Florida’s annual Dade vs. Broward County high school all-star game in January • Rated the No. 83 cornerback in the country by Rivals.com • Opponents only threw his way 23 times all season and he made five interceptions and broke up 12 passes • Played cornerback and free safety • Finished his senior season with 39 tackles and five forced fumbles • First-team selection on the Sun-Sentinel Class 6A-5A-4A All-County team as a senior • Named All-Broward county as a senior • Helped lead Ely to an 11-2 record and the state 5A regionals, where they nearly pulled off an upset of St. Thomas Aquinas, the nation’s No. 1 team • Coached by Rodney Gray.
