At Carolina
Caught his first career touchdown pass, a 23-yard catch and run during which he broke five tackles against East Carolina • Appeared in nine games at wide receiver and on special teams in 2012 • Had three special teams tackles and caught five passes for 46 yards • Pulled down four receptions for 36 yards in the season finale against Maryland • Also caught one pass for 10 yards at Miami • Joined the team as a walk-on in 2011 • Four-year varsity starter at Belen Jesuit in Miami, Fla. • Two-time all-county quarterback • Earned all-state honors at quarterback as a senior • Was the team captain and led his school to the Florida 3A state championship game vs. Pensacola for the first time in school history • Also ran track and earned all-county and all-state honors as a senior • Anchored the state championships 4x100 relay team with a time of 41.18, the best time in the state • Ran the state finals in 200m with a personal best 21.69 • Won coaches award in both track and football in 2010 • Won the Nike Sparq Combine in 2009 posting a 109.19 score ranking among the top quarterbacks in the nation.
