2016 - Junior Season
Former walk-on who received a scholarship for the 2016 season and played in all 13 games • Targeted 18 times this year and has 17 catches, 11 for first downs and four touchdowns • Finished with 17 catches for 186 yards and four touchdowns on the season • Caught a 24-yard pass in the Sun Bowl • Had a 7-yard touchdown catch against NC State • Made a 9-yard catch vs. The Citadel • Scored on a 16-yard pass at Duke to give Carolina an early 7-0 lead • Also had a 22-yard catch-and-run on that same scoring drive against the Devils • Made a 15-yard catch in the win over Georgia Tech • Caught a 10-yard touchdown pass in the 35-14 win at Virginia • Made a 6-yard catch in the win at No. 16 Miami • Had a 34-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown in the win at No. 12 Florida State • Caught two passes for 11 yards in the win over Pitt • Had a career-high four receptions for 22 yards in the win over JMU • Made a 10-yard reception in the season opener vs. No. 18 Georgia • Son of former UNC letterwinner David Jackson who was captain of the 1969 team and also wore No. 48.

Joined the team as a walk-on prior to the 2014 season • Played in five games in 2015 with his most extensive action against North Carolina A&T.
