2016 - Redshirt Freshman Season
Redshirt freshman who became the starter in week four and helped solidified the defensive line • Played in all 13 games and made 10 starts • Finished with 42 tackles on the season, 1.5 for loss and one sack • Had four tackles in the Sun Bowl • Recorded one stop vs. NC State • Made a career-high 10 tackles and earned his first career sack in a 41-7 win vs. The Citadel • Had three tackles in a 48-20 win over Georgia Tech • Made one tackle in the win at Virginia • Recorded three stops in the win at No. 16 Miami • Made four tackles against Virginia Tech • Started and had two tackles and a quarterback pressure in the win at No. 12 Florida State • Earned his first career start against Pitt and responded with three tackles and assisted on a tackle for loss • Had eight tackles in the win over JMU • Assisted on a tackle in the win at Illinois • Saw action in the season opener vs. No. 18 Georgia but did not record a tackle • Played in just two games (vs. North Carolina A&T and vs. Illinois) before suffering a season-ending knee injury in 2015 • Received a medical redshirt.
