2013 - Junior Season

2012 - Sophomore Season
Played in all 12 games and started three at weakside linebacker, finishing with 38 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss • Also forced a pair of fumbles, recovered a pair of fumbles, broke up a pass and had one quarterback hurry • Had five tackles in the season finale against Maryland • Playing in his home state, tallied a career-high eight stops, including five solo tackles, and forced a fumble in the win at Virginia • Had two tackles against Georgia Tech • Recovered a fumble and added a quarterback hurry in the win over NC State • Finished with two tackles against Duke and four at Miami • Made perhaps the defensive play of the game against Virginia Tech when he stripped Michael Holmes and returned the ball eight yards to set up a Carolina touchdown • Had two stops and 0.5 tackles for loss against Idaho • Finished with three tackles against East Carolina and Louisville • Tallied five tackles, a pass breakup and a tackle for loss at Wake Forest • Had three stops in the season opener against Elon.
2011 - Freshman Season
Played in all 13 games as a true freshman, starting one vs. Georgia Tech • Also played on special teams • Finished the regular season with 13 tackles, one tackle for loss and one quarterback hurry • Had one tackle in a 30-24 loss to Miami • Had one tackle in a 14-7 victory over Louisville • Posted two tackles and had a quarterback pressure in a 35-20 victory at East Carolina • Made his first career start and had five tackles in a loss at Georgia Tech • In his first career game, he posted three tackles in Carolina's 42-10 win over James Madison.
