2014 - Senior Season
Senior linebacker started 11 games and finished the regular season with 58 tackles (30 solo), 3.5 tackles for loss and three quarterback hurries • Had four stops against NC State, Duke and Miami, including three solo tackles at Duke • Had a season-high eight tackles on four different occasions - at Virginia, Virginia Tech, at Clemson and SDSU • Had five stops and a TFL at Notre Dame • Had a season-best six solo tackles (eight total) at Clemson • In addition to his eight tackles, had 2.0 tackles for loss and a QB hurry in the win over SDSU • Finished with seven stops (six solo) in the season opener against Liberty.
2013 - Junior Season
Appeared in 12 games at linebacker and started 11 • Did not play in the Belk Bowl due to injury • Finished fifth on the team with 76 tackles, including 40 solo stops and 36 assists • Had 5.5 tackles for loss, including one sack • Also recovered a fumble, broke up a pass and had five quarterback hurries • Had nine tackles (five solo) against Duke • Finished with four tackles and a quarterback hurry against Old Dominion • Had four tackles and fumble recovery against Pitt • Had three solo tackles against Virginia • Had the best game of his career in the win at NC State, finishing with a career-high 12 tackles (five solo), 1.5 tackles for loss and a quarterback hurry • Had eight tackles and a sack in the win over Boston College • Finished with four tackles and a QB hurry against Miami • Finished with nine tackles (seven solo), two TFLs for four yards and a QB hurry against East Carolina • Tallied five stops at Georgia Tech • Had nine tackles and a QB hurry in the win over Middle Tennessee • Tied for team-high honors with eight tackles, including five solo stops and three assists, in the season opener at No. 6 South Carolina.
2012 - Sophomore Season
Played in all 12 games and started three at weakside linebacker, finishing with 38 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss • Also forced a pair of fumbles, recovered a pair of fumbles, broke up a pass and had one quarterback hurry • Had five tackles in the season finale against Maryland • Playing in his home state, tallied a career-high eight stops, including five solo tackles, and forced a fumble in the win at Virginia • Had two tackles against Georgia Tech • Recovered a fumble and added a quarterback hurry in the win over NC State • Finished with two tackles against Duke and four at Miami • Made perhaps the defensive play of the game against Virginia Tech when he stripped Michael Holmes and returned the ball eight yards to set up a Carolina touchdown • Had two stops and 0.5 tackles for loss against Idaho • Finished with three tackles against East Carolina and Louisville • Tallied five tackles, a pass breakup and a tackle for loss at Wake Forest • Had three stops in the season opener against Elon.
2011 - Freshman Season
Played in all 13 games as a true freshman, starting one vs. Georgia Tech • Also played on special teams • Finished the regular season with 13 tackles, one tackle for loss and one quarterback hurry • Had one tackle in a 30-24 loss to Miami • Had one tackle in a 14-7 victory over Louisville • Posted two tackles and had a quarterback pressure in a 35-20 victory at East Carolina • Made his first career start and had five tackles in a loss at Georgia Tech • In his first career game, he posted three tackles in Carolina's 42-10 win over James Madison.
