Junior Season (2014)
Veteran right-hander was limited to just seven appearances after his season was cut short due to a blood clot in his throwing shoulder • Allowed just one run in 11.2 innings and was a perfect 7 of 7 in save opportunities before being shut down for the season in mid-March • Struck out 14 batters and walked nine, finishing the year with a 0.77 ERA • Recorded a save in all seven appearanes, six of which were at least 1.1 innings.
Sophomore Season (2013)
Reliable bullpen arm who was one of the most effective relievers on the staff • Made 32 appearances on the year, tied for most on the team • Posted a 7-1 record with a 2.13 ERA and two saves • Tossed 63.1 innings and allowed just 15 earned runs • Recorded 54 strikeouts, second most of anyone out of the bullpen, and walked 28 batters • Limited opponents to just a .193 batting average • Struck out a career-high six batters in a career-long 3.2 innings in the Chapel Hill Regional against Florida Atlantic (6/3) • Allowed just two hits and one earned run in 3.1 innings pitched during the College World Series • Pitched in nine NCAA tournament games and allowed runs in just two of those appearances • Got the win in relief against Canisius in the Chapel Hill Regional (5/31) • Won his first six decisions of the year, including ACC wins over Wake Forest (3/10), Miami (3/17) and Virginia (5/17) • Had multiple strikeouts in 14 of his 32 appearances • Tallied five strikeouts and allowed just one run in 2.2 innings in his first appearance of the season against Coastal Carolina (2/18).
Freshman Season (2012)
Appeared in 25 games as a reliever, posting a 2.10 ERA • Registered a 1-0 mark on the season • Threw 25.2 innings, allowing six earned runs • Struck out 17, while walking just nine • Gave up just one hit and no runs in his collegiate debut against Southern California (3/2) • Threw a scoreless and hitless 2.2 frames while striking out three to earn his first win against Princeton (3/20) • Struck out a career-high three batters three times on the season • Gave up zero hits in nine appearances • Ended his debut season on a seven-game streak of not giving up an earned run from May 2 through June 3. Summer 2012: Made six appearances and five starts for the Thomasville Hi-Toms of the Coastal Plain League • Posted a 2.25 ERA and registered a 3-1 mark • Threw 32 innings, allowing eight earned runs • Struck out 31 • Played in the all star game • Named Baseball America's fourth-best prospect in the Coastal Plain League.
