Steve Gisselman joined the UNC strength and conditioning program in 1999 and has been a full-time assistant since 2003. He assists the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Sports, Greg Gatz, in the daily operation of the Olympic Sport weight room. His primary responsibilities include developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for field hockey, women's golf, women's lacrosse, softball, men's and women's swimming, and track and field.
Gisselman has worked with three NCAA championship teams, and numerous top 10 finishers and ACC team champions as well. Along with those high achieving teams he has worked with multiple individual ACC champions and NCAA All-Americans. He has also had an opportunity to work with a select few NCAA individual champions, and Olympic athletes.
Gisselman is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Level 1 Club Coach through USA Weightlifting.
