Recipients of the Carolina Leadership Academy's Three-Dimensional Leader (3-DL) Award were honored at the men's basketball game against Virginia on Jan. 10. Nineteen outstanding UNC student-athletes have been selected this year for the award, the highest honor presented to participants in the CLA, which is now in its third year.
The 3-DL Award is determined by the ratings given to captains and team leaders by their coaches and teammates using the Team Leadership Evaluation, which measures a leader's ability to be effective vocally and by example. Recipients for the 2006-07 school year are: Laree Beans (field hockey), Ashley Board (volleyball)., Katie Brooks (women's soccer), Jenn Cook (women's lacrosse), Erin Cutrell (women's swimming), Anna Evans (softball). Jon Fox (men's diving), Tyra Johnson (women's track & field), Georgia Kloss (women's cross country), Rhian Jenks (women's track & field), Lisy McIntee (rowing), Mike Munnelly (men's lacrosse), Heather O'Reilly (women's soccer), Nick Owens (men's track & field), Will Randolph (men's fencing), Christine Robella (gymnastics), Claire Smith (gymnastics) and Courtney Turco (gymnastics).
