CHAPEL HILL—Fresh off a third consecutive perfect score in the NCAA's Academic Progress Rates report, all five members of the 2017 NCAA champion North Carolina Tar Heel senior class earned their UNC degrees in graduation ceremonies at Kenan Stadium on Sunday.
The 2017 Tar Heel basketball graduating class includes guard Nate Britt (Upper Marlboro, Md., Management & Society major), guard Kanler Coker (Gainesville, Ga., Communication Studies), forward Isaiah Hicks (Oxford, N.C., Exercise and Sport Science), forward Kennedy Meeks (Charlotte, N.C., Communication Studies) and guard Stilman White (Wilmington, N.C., Exercise and Sport Science).
The basketball Tar Heels were one of 16 UNC squads to score a perfect 1000 score in the Academic Progress Report (APR) for the 2015-16 academic year (the most recent year of available data). Seniors Joel James, Brice Johnson, Marcus Paige, Toby Egbuna, Justin Coleman and Spenser Dalton all graduated in 2016.
Carolina advanced to the NCAA Final Four for the second year in a row in 2017, winning Roy Williams' third national championship with a title game victory over Gonzaga in Phoenix last month.
