Tar Heels Receive NCAA Rings

CHAPEL HILL—The North Carolina women's lacrosse program posted its greatest season ever in 2016, winning the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season title, the ACC Tournament title and the NCAA championship, its second in four years. UNC won a school-record 20 games and dominated top-seeded Maryland, 13-7, in the national title game.

On Wednesday night at the Chapel Hill home of UNC Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham, the 2016 national champs gathered and received their NCAA and ACC championship rings.
