CHAPEL HILL — North Carolina highlights a field of eight powerful teams that will compete in the 2014 Battle 4 Atlantis, to be played on November 26-28 on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The Tar Heels join UCLA, Georgetown, Florida, Wisconsin, Butler, Oklahoma and UAB in the event.
Carolina will face Butler in the tournament's opener at noon on Wednesday Nov. 26 on ESPN2. The winner of that game will advance to play the winner of the contest between UCLA and Oklahoma on Thursday Nov. 27 at 1 p.m.
On the other side of the bracket, Wisconsin will face UAB and Florida will match up against Georgetown. The championship game will be on Friday Nov. 28 at 4:30 p.m.
UNC also will host a Battle 4 Atlantis game against Robert Morris in the Smith Center in Chapel Hill on Sunday Nov. 16.

The Battle 4 Atlantis will be Carolina's second trip to the Bahamas in a four-month span. The Tar Heels also will be playing two exhibition games there on Aug. 15-16. UNC will face the Providence Storm on Friday Aug. 15 at 5 p.m. and the Bahamas All-Stars on Saturday Aug. 16 at 5 p.m. Carolina players will return to campus next week for practice and to travel to the Bahamas.
