For student-athletes who leave Carolina before completing their undergraduate degree, no matter how long they've been gone, Carolina has created a degree completion program—Complete Carolina—which assists them in returning to Chapel Hill and achieving academic success.
Complete Carolina, which is managed by the Department of Athletics, provides financial support to all returning student-athletes, proportional to a student's athletics aid during initial enrollment as a student-athlete, including tuition, fees, room, board and books. Student-athletes also receive ongoing comprehensive academic advising and career counseling before, during and after their return to Carolina, including creation of an individualized plan to facilitate completion of a degree, to maximize their success on campus.
Complete Carolina will go into effect beginning with the 2015-16 academic year.
To participate in Complete Carolina, students must be former scholarship athletes who left UNC in good academic standing. For complete eligibility requirements and to receive information on this program, former student-athletes should complete this form to be contacted by the Department of Athletics.
