Henry Do Tied For 3rd At Michigan Open

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - University of North Carolina golfer Henry Do stands tied for third place at the Michigan Open Championship presented by LaFontaine Cadillac after firing a 3-under-par 69 in the second round.  Do, a rising sophomore from Canton, Mich., carded six birdies and three bogeys en route to his 69 score and 8-under 136 total, four strokes behind the co-leaders.

Do picked up his first collegiate win last year as he tied for first place at the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate.  He carded four top-25 finishes after competing in eight of Carolina's 11 tournaments.  In addition to his win, Do tied for 16th at the Seminole Intercollegiate, tied for 23rd at the Carpet Capital Collegiate and tied for 22nd at the Rod Myers Invitational, where he competed as an individual.  He concluded the year with a 74.20 stroke average, fired six under-par rounds, three in the 60s, and two even par rounds.

The 72-hole Michigan Open will continue through Thursday at Prestwick Village Golf Club in Highland, Mich., which features a par-72, 6,974-yard layout.
