CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina volleyball's incoming recruiting class received a Highest Honorable Mention nod from PrepVolleyball.com, ranking the program's class of 2018 as one of the top 55 in the nation.
Head coach Joe Sagula announced during the 2013-14 season the additions of Keimaya Hunter, Taylor Leath and Beth Nordhorn to the team for the 2014-15 season. Hunter is a middle blocker from Charlotte, N.C., Leath is an outside hitter from Port Matilda, Pa., and Nordhorn is a middle blocker from Winter Park, Fla.
The PrepVolleyball.com recruiting class rankings are made by a panel of NCAA Division I volleyball coaches. The guidelines used for the rankings include the size of the class, the overall strength of the class, and the impact that class will have on the program. PrepVolleyball.com announced its 2014 Top 30 recruiting class list, followed by a 25-team Highest Honorable Mention list, and a 44-team High Honorable Mention list.
Other ACC programs receiving Highest Honorable Mentions are Clemson, Duke and Louisville. Georgia Tech, Miami, NC State, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest earned High Honorable Mention nods.
