CHAPEL HILL -- The University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team finished the 2014 season ranked fifth in both final national polls, released this week by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association and Inside Lacrosse.
The Tar Heels finish in the top five of the IWLCA poll for the sixth year in a row and the eighth time in nine years. UNC head coach Jenny Levy has finished in the top five nationally 11 times in her 19 seasons as the head coach at Carolina.
The top 10 in the final IWLCA poll for 2014 was Maryland, Syracuse, Northwestern, Virginia, UNC, Florida, Boston College, Duke, Loyola and Penn.
