Tar Heels Conclude Regular Season At No. 4 Miami

CORAL GABLES, Fla. --- North Carolina concludes the 2014 regular season with a three-game series at No. 4 Miami beginning Thursday evening at 7:30 at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field. Carolina is 31-21 on the year after beating Gardner-Webb in midweek action 7-2 on Tuesday night. Miami, one of the nation's hottest teams, enters the series with a 38-14 record and leads the Atlantic Coast Conference with a 22-5 league mark. Carolina currently stands in fifth in the ACC at 14-13 and can clinch a top-6 seed in the ACC tournament with a pair of wins over the Hurricanes.

CAROLINA-MIAMI SERIES HISTORY
• North Carolina is 24-30-1 all-time against Miami, including a 14-15-1 mark under head coach Mike Fox.
• Carolina has won three straight against the Hurricanes, including a 10-0 eight-inning mercy rule win in the 2013 ACC tournament. The Tar Heels also took two of three from the Canes in Chapel Hill during the 2013 regular season.
• Miami has won six in a row over the Tar Heels in Coral Gables with a pair of three-game sweeps in 2010 and 2012. Carolina's last wins at Mark Light Field came in 2008 when UNC took two of three.
• UNC is 6-9 at Miami under Fox, but the Tar Heels have won three of the five series in Coral Gables since 2004.
