CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The eighth-ranked North Carolina men's tennis team (16-3, 3-1 ACC) will travel to Dedham, Mass. to face off with conference foe Boston College (4-8, 0-4 ACC) on Friday at 5 p.m.
Carolina enters the match having won five of its last six contests, including a 6-1 victory over No. 49 Virginia Tech most recently on March 23.
Boston College enters Friday still searching for its first conference win of the season after falling to Clemson 7-0 in its last match.
Despite a slight dip in the latest ITA team rankings from No. 6 to No. 8, the Tar Heels had two players improve their positions in the latest ITA singles rankings. Freshman Brayden Schnur, who boasts a 13-1 dual-match singles record this spring, jumped from the 18th spot up to 10th. Fellow freshman Ronnie Schneider leaped seven spots from 32nd to 25th.
The Tar Heels' last meeting with the Eagles was on April 21, 2013 on Senior Day in Chapel Hill. Carolina won in a 7-0 sweep.
