Basketball

Well, that was pretty amazing. The postgame scene at the Smith Center (Jump Around at 1:20 is awesome):

The full video from the CBS "Men of March" special on Roy Williams is now available online. If you missed it, it's definitely worth watching. Here's part 1 and part 2...And a written Q&A with Williams with some good content...This is an ESPN Insider ($) story, but it has good insight on the Tar Heel offense...The new Luke Winn power rankings...

Tar Heels in the NBA

Good quotes from Kevin McHale on Kendall Marshall in this story...After all the trade deadline talk, the only Tar Heel to change addresses was Antawn Jamison to the Hawks...12 points and seven rebounds for John Henson...Harrison Barnes had five points in Golden State's win.

Football

Very good feature on some of the steps taken by Bubba Cunningham to take care of some of the athletic department strife over the last couple of years...The game at Notre Dame on Oct. 11 will kick off at 3:30...Brandon Tate is trying to make a difference in his hometown of Burlington...Interesting note: Hakeem Nicks, who is a free agent, has signed with Jay-Z:

Olympic sports

Diamond DeShields has elevated her play at a key point in the season and was one of five double-digit scorers in Carolina's win over Virginia Thursday night...These new spikes for the Diamond Heels are cool:
