CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The first UNC Fan Development Signing Day Call-A-Thon will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 5, from the Blue Zone at Kenan Stadium. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., 50 loyal Carolina football supporters from across the state will convene in Chapel Hill and call on Carolina fans in an effort to sell 2014 season tickets.
"Rams Club members share the University's commitment to provide a great student-athlete experience," says John Montgomery, Executive Director of The Rams Club. "With this effort, we hope to share the great fan experiences you find on game day in Chapel Hill with more loyal Tar Heels. A full Kenan Stadium provides an incredible atmosphere for our football team and a wonderful chance for our fans to share inspirational moments with them."
Carolina closed the 2013 season with six wins in its final seven games, including a 39-17 victory over Cincinnati in the Belk Bowl. Signing day on Feb. 5 will bring the next wave of future Tar Heels to build on that success.
"We want to continue to build the success Coach Fedora and our players have shown over the last two years," says Brian Chacos, former Tar Heel offensive lineman and current Director of Fan Development & Sales. "As a player, nothing is more exciting and makes you feel more proud than running out of the tunnel at Kenan Stadium to a large crowd of screaming Carolina Fans. That is the atmosphere that we are continuing to work toward."
