DeShields scored 19 points with eight rebounds and three steals in Carolina's 83-65 victory at Wake Forest last Thursday in the only game for the Tar Heels last week.

She leads all freshman in ACC games with 18.8 points and ranks third among all rookies with 6.2 rebounds per game. This is DeShields' third Rookie of the Week honor, the first two coming Dec. 2 and Jan. 13.

DeShields leads the team in scoring at 16.3 points and steals with 1.9 swipes per game.

No. 6 North Carolina (17-3, 5-1 ACC) hosts two games this week, beginning with Thursday's tilt with Syracuse at 7 p.m. The Heels will also take on Miami at 2 p.m., on Sunday. Both games will be televised on the Regional Sports Network and available on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

Thursday's game with the Orange is another Throwback Thursday, featuring 1/2 price concessions and DJ Forge spinning your favorite 90s music.

Sunday against the Hurricanes will be a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the 1994 Tar Heel national championship team.
