2014 Dates For Father/Son Camp and Boys Overnight Camp Set
Release: 01/08/2014

Coach Andrew Sapp and the University of North Carolina Men's Golf Team are excited to announce the dates for the 2014 Carolina Boys Golf Camps.  Coach Sapp will host the Father/Son Day Camp, June 7-8 (Saturday-Sunday), which could create the perfect golf week, as the US Open Championship takes place just down the road in Pinehurst, N.C., June 9-15.  The Boys Overnight Camp will take place June 22-26 (Sunday-Thursday).  Both camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by numbers of campers, grade level, and/or gender.

"I am really looking forward to this year's golf camps," says Coach Sapp.  "We have such a wonderful facility and golf course and it will be a fun learning experience for all who attend.  Come join us in Chapel Hill this summer for a great golf experience."

Father/Son Day Camp

June 7-8, 2014

The Father/Son Day Camp is for all ages and gives family members the opportunity to share time and tips together on the golf course and on the practice range. The daily schedule for this camp includes instruction and practice (including swing video analysis) from about 9 am-12:30 pm, then the camp will provide lunch at the golf course, followed by playing 18 holes at our UNC Finley Golf Course (approximately 1:30-6 pm).  Also, please note that this camp is open to uncles, nephews, grandfathers, etc. and you can absolutely bring more than just a pair.

*In case you are searching for a wonderful Father's Day gift or vacation (golf camp and the experience of a major championship), as a reminder, the US Open Championship is being played June 9-15 at Pinehurst #2, in Pinehurst, N.C. (just 50 minutes away from Chapel Hill).

Boys Overnight Camp

June 22-26

Our Boys Overnight Camp is open to all junior golfers, grades 6-12.  During this camp, participants will work with coaches to help develop good fundamentals of the game, practice habits, and course strategies.  Participants will receive individual instruction, video analysis of their golf swing, complete on-course playing assignments, learn about junior tournament schedules and college recruiting, and more.  There will also be an 18 hole camp tournament on the final day (Thursday).  This camp will also take place at the UNC Finley Golf Course and all participants will stay in the Granville Tower dormitory (this is the same dorm where our student-athletes on our UNC Men's Golf team live during their freshmen year). Camp size is limited to the first 40 participants.
