The University of North Carolina men's tennis team enters the 2014 dual match season ranked 43rd in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.  The ITA released the rankings on Thursday afternoon.  UNC finished 52nd in the rankings at the end of the 2013 season.

Carolina heads into the 2014 campaign with two singles players and two doubles teams among the national rankings.

Freshman Ronnie Schneider from Bloomington, Ind. is ranked No. 17 in the preseason singles while sophomore Brett Clark is rated No. 36 in the singles rankings.

Two Tar Heel doubles teams start the season in the national rankings.

The duo of Brett Clark and Esben Hess-Olesen (Viby, Denmark) is ranked No. 29 in the nation.  The other nationally-ranked team consists of senior Nelson Vick (Grafton, Wis.) and junior Oystein Steiro (Snaroya, Norway).  That tandem is ranked No. 50.
