Breschi Scholarship Game A Great Success in Baltimore
Release: 10/17/2013
TOWSON, MD. -  This past weekend, the Tar Heel men's lacrosse team traveled to Towson, Md., for the 3rd Annual Michael R. Breschi Memorial game at Calvert Hall College High School. This event has become a tradition between the Tar Heels and Ohio State as a way to raise money for the Michael R. Breschi Scholarship fund at OSU.

Beyond the game itself, the day was full of fellowship between the Tar Heel and Buckeye lacrosse families. The pregame breakfast was shared between both teams, and immediately prior to the game there was a "Thumbs Up" moment of silence to honor the memory of Michael Breschi. Following the game, the parents provided a tailgate for everyone, where the winner of the 2013 MRB Scholarship was announced. Every year, this scholarship goes to an Ohio State senior who best exemplifies Michael's spirit, and this year's winner is Ohio State senior defenseman Joe Meurer.

All in all, it was a great day of lacrosse, and over $7000 was raised for the MRB Scholarship Fund.
