CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Tar Heels moved to No. 11 in this week's AVCA Division I Coaches Poll, moving up three spots from No. 14 and tying their highest ranking in program history.
UNC, now 13-0 and 2-0 in the ACC, was ranked No. 11 during the 2002 season, in which they finished the year at No. 12. This has been the team's best season start in program history, surpassing a 9-0 start the 1981 team had.
Florida State is the only other ACC program in this week's top-25, ranked at No. 18. There are only two other programs in the top-25 that remain undefeated, No. 1 Washington (10-0) and No. 17 Colorado State (12-0).

Carolina opens ACC road play this weekend, visiting Syracuse on Friday and Boston College on Sunday.
