After Blue took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the first, Navy tied things up with two runs in the top of the second keyed by a massive Joe Dudek home run to dead center field. Navy scored two more runs in the third on a Skye Bolt RBI double and Alex Raburn's run-scoring single to go ahead 5-3. Blue tied the score in the bottom of the inning on Adrian Chacon's sacrifice fly and Zach Daly's safety squeeze bunt.

Navy added four more runs in the fourth to take a 9-5 lead with two of the runs scoring on Skye Bolt's homer to left. Blue countered with three runs in the bottom of the inning with two of the runs coming on Adrian Chacon's single to center. Navy went on to score the last four runs of the scrimmage.

Six pitchers saw action: Taylore Cherry, Chris McCue, Henry Sisson, Luis Paula, Spencer Trayner and Mason McCullough.
