Two North Carolina field hockey players have been named to the U.S. Under-21 team that will compete at the Junior World Cup in Germany July 27-Aug. 4. Emma Bozek and Emily Wold, both rising sophomores at UNC, have been named to the 18-player roster.
The U.S. qualified for the event by finishing third at the 2012 Pan American Junior Championships in Mexico last September. Both Bozek and Wold were members of that team, along with Marta Malmberg, a rising senior at Carolina.
Wold is also a member of the U.S. National Team and currently is competing with the squad at the World League Semi-Final in London.
