CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Casey Grice, a junior from College Station, Texas, has been selected a Golfweek Honorable Mention All-America, based upon the players' order in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, where Grice is ranked 34th. Earlier, she received the same honor by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
Grice tied for 26th place at the NCAA East Regional after firing rounds of 70-75-73 for a 2-over-par 218 total. A three-year starter for the Tar Heels, she carded seven top-20 finishes in Carolina's 10 tournaments. Grice's top finish came at the Liz Murphey Fall Preview where she was the runner-up. In her other top-10 finishes she tied for fifth at the UCF Challenge and the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate and tied for seventh at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational.Grice, a 2012 and 2013 All-ACC performer, led the team with a 73.27 stroke average. She scored six under-par rounds, two in the 60s, and five even par rounds. This is the second consecutive year she has been named a Golfweek Honorable Mention All-America.
