CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Casey Grice, a junior on North Carolina's women's golf team, fired a 1-over 72 in the second round of the North Texas LPGA Shootout Friday. Grice carded one birdie and two bogeys after shooting an even-par on her first eight holes.
Grice improved to a tie for 131st place with a total of a 9-over 151. Grice is beyond the 70th place cut off, so she will not be competing in the rest of the tournament.
The North Texas LPGA Shootout is being played at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Tex., a par 71, 6,410-yard layout.
Grice, a native of College Station, Texas, played high school golf at A&M Consolidated. She has carded four top-10 and seven top-20 finishes for Carolina this year and has led the Tar Heels to three team titles.
